RIWC 2021 goes Virtual

Due to the on-going developments with Covid-19 the International Executive Committee and the Organizing Committee have decided to transfer the congress to a digital format to secure that cancelation is no option. 

Registration for the congress is now . 

All registration fees below include access to the virtual congress portal and virtual exhibition areas.

Virtual Participation

Early registration until 1 July 2021:

DKK 2,995 / USD 480 / EUR 405

Regular registration from 2 July to 7 September 2021:

DKK 5,395 / USD 860 / EUR 725

Virtual and Physical Participation*

Registration (not open yet):

DKK 5,995 / USD 960 / EUR 805

*The organizers plan to make it possible to physically attend the congress in Aarhus in September - if boarders are open and travel and gathering restrictions allow this.

The decision on the hybrid format and number of participants and physical attendance will be made no later than 1 July 2021 and will be in accordance with guidelines and recommendations from the health authorities.

Already registered for the congress?

If you are registered as a Presenter and have paid the presenter’s fee upon registering in 2020 before the COVID-19-related postponement, your 3-day ticket can automatically be upgraded to include the possibility to participate in the physical congress. This is also the case for new presenters (one per accepted abstract).

If you have already paid for your participation as a co-presenter or regular delegate in 2020 before the COVID-19-related postponement, you can either choose to receive a refund matching the updated registration fee for virtual participation, or you may also wait and see if the congress becomes a hybrid between a virtual and a physical format.  

Please note that the waiting list for physical participation in the congress will reflect the date of your registration.

Cancellation Policy

If you registered for the congress in 2020, but now wish to withdraw your registration and not participate in the virtual congress, you will receive a full refund excluding an administration fee of DKK 500 / USD 82 / EUR 67. The administration fee covers having an external partner handling everything related to invoices, bank transfers, refunds to credit cards etc.

If you register for the virtual congress and later wish to cancel your registration again, these terms apply:

If cancellation occurs before or on 1 July 2021, you will receive a full refund excluding the administration fee.

If cancellation occurs later than 1 July 2021, there will be no refund. However, you may choose to transfer your registration to a friend/colleague.

The RI World Congress 2021 is exempt from VAT, so all registration fees are listed without VAT.

Please note that this does not apply to accommodation. 

Please note regarding grants and funding

The RI World Congress is organized by the non-profit NGO Rehabilitation International Denmark.

Due to a number of requests, we hereby inform you that unfortunately neither Rehabilitation International Denmark nor the collaborating partners are able to provide financial support for congress participants (including travelling expenses and accommodation). We encourage you to apply for other external funding and grants.

If at a later stage it is possible for the congress organizers to provide financial support, this will be communicated on the congress website.
